UEFA imposes massive penalty on Fenerbahçe

UEFA fined Fenerbahçe 7 million Euros for violating the squad cost rule by reporting a squad cost ratio above 70% for the 2025 calendar year.

The UEFA Club Financial Control Board has officially announced that Fenerbahçe Club has been fined 7 million Euros for violating the squad cost rule.

According to the official statement, the main reason for the yellow-navy club's penalty was that it reported its squad cost ratio for the 2025 calendar year above the 70 percent limit set by UEFA. Due to this financial threshold breach, UEFA has implemented this major sanction against the yellow-navy club.

OTHER PENALTIES IMPOSED

In addition to Fenerbahçe, UEFA's CFCB First Chamber has imposed fines on Aston Villa, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, OGC Nice, RC Strasbourg, AEK Athens, and ACF Fiorentina clubs.
