The Ukrainian General Staff announced that an attack was carried out on a ballistic missile production facility in the city of Votkinsk, located approximately 1,400 kilometers away from Ukraine, using Ukrainian-made FP-5 "Flamingo" type cruise missiles.
The Ukrainian General Staff also announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces conducted an airstrike on a Russian facility in the Udmurt Republic, which is affiliated with Russia.
"WE TARGETED THE BALLISTIC MISSILE PRODUCTION FACILITY"
Officials stated that the attack, carried out during the night, targeted a ballistic missile production facility in Votkinsk, located approximately 1,400 kilometers east of Moscow and away from Ukraine. It was claimed that the facility is used for the production of Russia's short-range Iskander and intercontinental Topol-M ballistic missiles. The statement noted that Ukrainian-made FP-5 "Flamingo" type cruise missiles were used in the attack. It was also reported that the attack caused a fire in the facility area.
The Ukrainian army also announced that a gas processing facility near the city of Samara in Russia's Volga Region was hit. At the same time, it was stated that logistical targets belonging to the Russian army were struck in the Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions.
FLIGHTS STOPPED IN IJEVSK AND SURROUNDING AREAS
The Russian Federal Aviation Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported that flights at airports in Ijevsk and surrounding cities in Udmurtia have been suspended. Udmurt Republic leader Aleksandr Brechalov also stated in a morning announcement that a facility in the region was attacked by a drone (UAV) overnight.
Brechalov indicated that damage occurred due to the attack and that some individuals were injured. He did not share details regarding the extent of the damage caused by the attack. Russian officials have not yet released a report regarding the attack near Samara.
