In Konya, the school administration at Cemil Keleşoğlu Anatolian High School has caused an uproar by banning the use of tea and coffee machines, as well as water coolers, under the "Public Savings Measures." The decision, which has drawn reactions from many, also received a response from Ümit Özdağ, the General Chairman of the Victory Party.

Özdağ, who expressed his anger on social media, commented on a news article regarding the decision, saying, "Start saving with your private jets, not the tea of the teachers. Have you ever taught a lesson? Have you ever swallowed chalk dust? Have you ever worked to teach something by saying, 'Stop, son; be quiet, daughter'? Are you going to save by cutting off the tea and water of a teacher whose salary is at the hunger threshold?"

Bahattin Ertuğrul, the President of Eğitim-İş Konya Branch, also called on the authorities to reconsider the decision, stating, "Does a glass of water that teachers drink after class harm the country?"
