In the Menderes district of Izmir, a man who was severely beaten and left for dead in an abandoned house was reportedly attacked by assailants who said, 'Why didn't you come to my brother's funeral?' After being found by citizens days later and taken to intensive care, it was determined that the man had suffered a brain hemorrhage and developed pneumonia.
In the Gümüldür neighborhood of İzmir's Menderes district, according to reports, an unidentified person attacked a man he had argued with, saying, "Why didn't you come to my brother's funeral?" The man, who was brutally beaten and suffered serious bruises on his face and various parts of his body, was thrown into an abandoned building by the attacker and left for dead.
After days of desperately fighting for his life among trash and flies, passersby in the area noticed the man's moans. After the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, health and gendarmerie teams were quickly dispatched to the address.
BRAIN HEMORRHAGE AND PNEUMONIA DETECTED
After the health teams' initial intervention at the scene, the unfortunate man was taken to the hospital, where detailed examinations revealed that he had suffered a brain hemorrhage and developed pneumonia in both lungs. Due to the severity of his condition, he was transferred to Yeşilyurt State Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. It was learned that he has currently overcome the life-threatening danger and is being kept under observation.
"I GAVE HIM WATER IN THE MORNING AND CHANGED HIS DIAPER"
Savaş Bahadır, who saw the unfortunate man in the abandoned building and extended a helping hand, described those moments, saying, "In the morning, I gave him water and laid him down a bit. I waited for the ambulance. I changed his diaper. I put long pajamas on him, and we put him in the ambulance; he went to the hospital." Hasan Şahin, who noticed the man upon hearing sounds while passing through the area, said, "My conscience wouldn't allow it. I asked nearby citizens about his condition. As a citizen, I did what was necessary and reported it to the relevant authorities. They took him to the hospital."
The gendarmerie teams' extensive efforts to capture the attacker who beat the man and left him for dead are ongoing.
