New developments have emerged in the investigation regarding the murder of Narin Güran (8), whose lifeless body was found in a sack, hidden under stones and bushes in a stream bed, 19 days after she went missing on August 21 in Diyarbakır. Following the confession of Nevzat Bahtiyar, new footage has surfaced showing her uncle Salim Güran also going to the stream bed. The first hearing of the case related to the murder was held on November 7 at the 8th Heavy Penal Court. In the indictment prepared by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding 4 of the 12 suspects who are in custody, it was stated that Salim Güran, whose vehicle contained DNA and hair samples belonging to Narin, along with her mother Yüksel Güran and her brother Enes Güran, was arrested after confessing that he transported the body to the stream bed, and it was noted that according to the HTS and base station records of the neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was also arrested, it was determined that he was in the same house at the time of the incident. An aggravated life sentence was requested for the crime of "intentional murder of a child in participation." 'SHAHINGÖZ' CAMERA HAS NO RECORDING FEATUREAt the end of the three-day hearing, the court announced its interim decision, ruling that the suspects' detention would continue and postponing the hearing to December 26. Additionally, after the request of the defendants' lawyers, the court issued an interim decision to request the recordings from the 'Şahingöz' camera located in the base area for the time between 15:00 and 17:00 on the day of the incident from the Bağlar District Gendarmerie Command. In the report prepared by the gendarmerie, it was stated that the camera had no recording feature and that only live images could be viewed. UNCLE STAYED AT THE LOCATION OF THE BODY FOR 8 MINUTESIn the expert report prepared by a three-person expert team, it was stated that "the phone used by Salim Güran arrived near the cornfield where Narin Güran's body was found at around 22:47 on August 21 and left at 22:55." As the security camera footage of those moments emerged, it was noted in the indictment prepared by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office that the camera recordings overlooking the Eğertutmaz Stream were examined in detail, considering the possibility that family members and suspects knew the location where Narin Güran's lifeless body was found. It was determined that Salim Güran was moving towards the location of the body in a vehicle around 22:35 on the day of the incident, stopped at the area where the body was found at 22:48, and turned back around 22:55. When evaluated in the context of the expert report on the narrow area base study and the HTS analysis report, it was clearly established that the person who came to the location where the body was found was Salim Güran. "THERE IS NO CORNFIELD, THERE IS A COTTON FIELD"Mustafa Demir, one of the lawyers of Enes Güran, stated on November 9, during the third day of the hearing, regarding the HTS record indicating that Salim Güran went to the stream bed where Narin's body was found on the night she went missing, "There is no cornfield where Narin's lifeless body was left. There is a cotton field. Can you give the exact location for the narrowed base? That area near the cemetery is also a cornfield."
