HALKBANK CASE DISMISSED

The criminal case filed by the US Department of Justice against Halkbank approximately 9 years ago has been officially dismissed by a US court following an agreement reached between the parties. Under the settlement, Halkbank did not admit to any charges. Additionally, no judicial or administrative fines will be imposed on the bank.

With the completion of the process, all legal and administrative reviews regarding Halkbank have also come to an end. JOINT PETITION HAD BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE US COURT

The US Department of Justice's Southern District of New York Attorney's Office and Halkbank had jointly applied to the court for the dismissal of the criminal case under the "Deferred Prosecution Agreement" that came into effect on March 11, 2026.

In a statement made by Halkbank to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was reported that the compliance report prepared by an expert organization was delivered on time and in full to the US Department of Justice's Southern District of New York Attorney's Office and the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control.

According to the bank's statement on the matter, following the delivery of the compliance report, Halkbank and the US Department of Justice's Southern District of New York Attorney's Office submitted a joint petition to the US Southern District Court of New York on June 10, 2026, for the dismissal of the criminal case.
