US Vice President JD Vance announced that they have made progress in nuclear negotiations with Iran. Vance emphasized that they need to take the necessary measures to prevent Iran from possessing nuclear weapons.

US Vice President JD Vance said, "After President Donald Trump rejected the latest proposal from Iran, we have made progress in negotiations with Iran."

US Vice President Vance answered journalists' questions about the Iran agenda during a press conference at the White House. Vance stated that Iran must present a proposal confirming it will not possess nuclear weapons.

"MEETINGS WITH IRANIAN OFFICIALS CONTINUE"

Emphasizing that meetings with Iranian officials are ongoing, Vance said, "This morning, I spoke on the phone with both Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, as well as some of our friends in the Arab world. I think we are making progress. The fundamental question is whether we are making enough progress to meet the President's red line. The President must ensure we have a set of safeguards in place so that Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon."

Vance noted progress in the talks in Islamabad, adding, "There has been progress in the subsequent process as well, but Tehran has still not reached the point we want to see regarding nuclear weapons."
