In the security camera footage taken at the Regional Boarding Hafiz Quran Course located in the Kalkanca area of Samsun, moments of violence against children were recorded second by second by the cameras.

The violent images reflected in the security cameras belong to the dates of January 1-21, 2025, April 9, 14, and 16, 2025. The footage shows moments when young students were beaten by teachers in closed areas, specifically in the mosque of the Quran course, and were subjected to physical intervention.

THESE OFFICIALS WERE SENT TO ANOTHER COURSE

ANKA News Agency inquired about the mentioned violence incident from the Samsun İlkadım Mufti's Office. An official speaking about the violence the children were subjected to shared that two course officials were assigned to other Quran courses as part of the investigation initiated in the institution. It is unknown whether the violent images have been forwarded to the judicial authorities.

ONE OF THE STUDENTS CONFIRMED

A student who spoke to ANKA News Agency regarding the violent images reflected in the course's security cameras, but wished to remain anonymous, confirmed that two course teachers had left the course, while the director and assistant director of the course, who were seen in the footage and were applying violence, are still continuing their duties.

ALLEGATION OF "CHOOSING BLIND SPOTS"

The student stated that other students were also afraid due to the incidents of violence, that they did not speak up, and that they were hesitant to file complaints. The student explained that the incidents of violence in the course were occurring not at the points where the security cameras were located, but in blind spots that were not within the camera's field of view.
