The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a yellow alert for 9 provinces and an orange alert for 1 province. The Disaster Coordination Center of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality announced that thunderstorms and heavy rain showers are expected to occur from the morning hours on the first day of the week.
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a yellow code warning for Aydın, Çanakkale, Istanbul, Kırklareli, Balıkesir, Edirne, Izmir, Manisa, and Tekirdağ. An orange code warning has been issued for Muğla.
AKOM WARNED
According to a statement from the Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, it is predicted that temperatures in the Marmara Region, especially in Istanbul, will be around 14-17 degrees above seasonal norms. It is expected that from the morning hours, there will be showers, with heavy thunderstorms mainly in the European Side and around the Bosphorus in the Anatolian Side. The rains are expected to be effective intermittently until Wednesday evening. The statement warned citizens to be careful and take precautions against possible adverse conditions.
According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the northern, inner, and western parts of the country are expected to be partly and very cloudy, with rain and showers in the Marmara, Aegean (except Afyonkarahisar), Western Mediterranean, the northwest of Central Anatolia, and the Western Black Sea (except Sinop), while the Marmara and Coastal Aegean regions are expected to have scattered thunderstorms, and other areas are expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
STRONG RAIN WARNING
It is expected that the rainfall will be strong (21-50 kg/m2) in the western Marmara and Aegean coasts, and locally very strong and severe (51-100 kg/m2) in the western coasts of Balıkesir and around Muğla. In the inner and eastern regions, frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected.
STRONG WIND WARNING
As the wind is expected to blow strongly and occasionally as a short-term storm (40-70 km/h) in the southern Marmara and Northern Aegean coasts, citizens are advised to be careful and take precautions against possible adverse conditions.

The rainfall is expected to be locally strong in the western part of the region, and very strong and locally severe in the western coasts of Balıkesir. The wind is expected to blow strongly and occasionally as a short-term storm (40-70 km/h) from southern directions in the southern part of the region.
AEGEAN
Partly and very cloudy, with intermittent rain and showers across the region (except Afyonkarahisar), and scattered thunderstorms along the coastal areas are expected. The rainfall is expected to be strong (21-50 kg/m2) in the coastal areas, and locally very strong and severe (51-100 kg/m2) around Muğla. The wind is expected to blow strongly and occasionally as a short-term storm (50-70 km/h) from southern directions along the Northern Aegean coasts.
MEDITERRANEAN
Partly and very cloudy, with intermittent showers and thunderstorms expected in the western part of the region.
CENTRAL ANATOLIA
Partly and very cloudy, with rain and showers expected in the northwest of the region. Frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected in the morning and night hours.
WESTERN BLACK SEA
Partly and very cloudy, with rain and showers expected across the region (except Sinop). Frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected in the inner parts during the morning and night hours.
CENTRAL and EASTERN BLACK SEA
It is expected to be partly and very cloudy. Frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected in the inner parts during the morning and night hours.
EAST ANATOLIA
It is expected to be partly and slightly cloudy. Frost and freezing, along with fog and local mist, are expected in the morning and night hours.
SOUTHEAST ANATOLIA
It is expected to be partly and slightly cloudy.
