Ukraine struck more than 40 Russian bombers in its "Web" operation targeting air bases in Russia's interior regions. The drone attacks, which have been planned for a year, caused $7 billion in damage to Russia. In yesterday's operation, even Siberia, located 4,000 km away, was hit. Numerous videos claiming to belong to Ukraine's drone attacks were shared on social media. The videos show moments of drones hitting and exploding on stationary aircraft. It is reported that the base where the planes were hit is located in Russia's Irkutsk region.

Igor Kobzev, the Governor of Irkutsk Region, shared a video on his social media account showing kamikaze drones flying and thick smoke rising, confirming that there was an attack on a military unit in the area. Kobzev stated that the number of drones has not yet been counted, and security forces have been dispatched to the scene, and an emergency headquarters has been established regarding the incident.

Reports suggest that attacks were also carried out on other aircraft at Olenya Air Base near Murmansk. Russian media reports the attack in Murmansk but claims that air defenses were operational.
RUSSIA CONFIRMED THE ATTACKS
The Russian Ministry of Defense made a statement regarding the attack carried out by Ukraine on air bases in Russia's interior regions, which hit more than 40 Russian bombers. In the statement made by the ministry, it was said, "The Kiev regime carried out a terrorist attack using drones on airports in the Murmansk, Irkutsk, Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions."
In the statement, it was noted that the attacks on military airfields in the Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur regions were repelled, and "As a result of drones launched from an area near airports in the Murmansk and Irkutsk Regions, several aircraft caught fire. The fire has been brought under control. There were no casualties among military and civilian personnel," it was stated.
The statement mentioned that individuals connected to the attacks have been detained.
7 BILLION DOLLARS DAMAGE TO RUSSIA
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) made a statement on its Telegram account regarding the drone attacks on Russia's military airfields. In the statement, it was noted that a "special operation" named "Pavutini" (Spider Web) was carried out, estimating that damage of 7 billion dollars was inflicted on Russia's strategic aviation.
It was stated that detailed information regarding the operation would be announced later, and it was expressed that "34% of the strategic cruise missile carriers at the main airports of the Russian Federation were hit." The statement indicated that "everything possible" would be done to repel Russian forces from Ukrainian territory.
ZELENSKY: WITHOUT A DOUBT, IT WILL BE IN HISTORY BOOKS
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with the head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Vasyl Maliuk, after the drone attacks on air bases in five regions of Russia. Zelensky described the results of the drone attacks on the air bases as "excellent," stating, "The head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, presented a report on today's operation. Absolutely excellent results. A result achieved solely by Ukraine. From the start of planning to effective implementation, it took one year, six months, and nine days. Our longest-range operation."
Zelensky noted that the personnel involved in the operation left Russian territory in a timely manner, saying, "I thanked General Maliuk for this success of Ukraine. I instructed the Security Service of Ukraine to inform the public about the non-secret details and results of the operation. Of course, not everything can be disclosed right now, but these are undoubtedly actions of Ukraine that will be in history books," he said.
Emphasizing that Ukraine is defending itself, Zelensky stated, "We are doing everything we can to ensure that Russia feels the need to end this war."
