The liquefied natural gas (LNG) ship "Tessala," which set sail from Algeria, is expected to arrive in Turkey tomorrow. While uncertainty stemming from the Strait of Hormuz continues in global energy markets, Turkey's alternative supply moves are drawing attention.

SET SAIL FROM ARZEW

According to international ship tracking data, the LNG ship that departed from Algeria's Arzew Port on April 9 is continuing its journey in the Aegean Sea. The ship, which has a capacity of 171,800 cubic meters, is planned to arrive in Turkey on April 14.

EXPECTED TO DOCK IN ALIAĞA

The LNG ship named "Tessala" is expected to dock at the İzmir Aliağa LNG Terminal to deliver natural gas. Built in 2016, the ship will contribute to Turkey's energy supply security.

CRITICAL STEP IN ENERGY SECURITY

At a time when Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz poses risks in global energy markets, Turkey's procurement from different sources is considered an important step for energy security.
