Following the two-week ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump with Iran, both sides declared victory. After the Iranian National Security Council claimed that Tehran had declared complete victory, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated, "This is a victory made possible for the U.S. by President Trump and our incredible military."

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt made a written statement regarding the two-week ceasefire reached with Iran announced by U.S. President Donald Trump.

“WE ACHIEVED OUR GOALS IN 38 DAYS”

Reminding that Trump had anticipated the Epic Fury Operation launched against Iran would last 4 to 6 weeks from the beginning, Leavitt stated, "Thanks to the incredible capabilities of our fighters, we achieved our fundamental military objectives in 38 days and exceeded those goals."

"TRUMP AND OUR ARMY MADE VICTORY POSSIBLE"

Regarding the ceasefire reached, Leavitt said, "This is a victory made possible for the U.S. by President Trump and our incredible army," adding, "The success of our army allowed President Trump and his team to enter into tough negotiations that opened the door to a diplomatic solution and long-term peace by providing the U.S. with the maximum leverage possible."

"TRUMP ENSURED THE OPENING OF THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ"

Emphasizing that Trump "ensured the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz," Leavitt said, "Never underestimate President Trump’s ability to successfully defend America’s interests and establish peace." Leavitt also added that detailed information on the matter would be provided to the public tomorrow morning by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and U.S. Chief of Staff Dan Caine.

IRAN ALSO DECLARED VICTORY

The Iranian National Security Council claimed that Iran had declared a complete victory and that the U.S. was forced to accept a 10-point plan. The statement from the Council included the following remarks: “Iran has achieved a great victory, and the guilty America has been forced to accept its 10-point plan. In this plan, America essentially commits to non-aggression, the continuation of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, acceptance of enrichment, the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions, the termination of all decisions by the UN Security Council and the Board of Directors, acceptance of uranium enrichment, payment of compensation to Iran, withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from the region, and a commitment to halt the war on all fronts, especially against the heroic Lebanese Islamic Resistance. Negotiations will begin on Friday, April 10, in Islamabad, Pakistan, in an atmosphere of complete distrust towards the U.S. side."
