White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that U.S. President Donald Trump greatly enjoyed his visit to Turkey as part of the 36th NATO Leaders Summit held in Ankara. Leavitt emphasized that Trump was pleased to meet with President Erdoğan and attached great importance to the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Responding to a question about the 36th NATO Leaders Summit hosted by Ankara, Leavitt stated that President Donald Trump greatly enjoyed his time in Türkiye.
Spokesperson Leavitt said: “I can say that the President was very pleased with his visit to Türkiye. This satisfaction was not limited to his participation in the NATO Summit. He appreciated the Summit's encouragement of the US to urge NATO allies to fulfill their defense spending obligations. In addition, he was very pleased with the time he spent with President Erdoğan in Türkiye and places great importance on the bilateral relationship between the two countries.”
