The Ministry of National Education's announcement of the results of the contracted teacher interviews and their subsequent removal after half an hour sparked reactions. Following this development, the eyes turned to the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, who clarified the issue during a live broadcast on CNN Türk. "OUR FRIEND PRESSED A BUTTON BY MISTAKE"Minister Tekin stated, "There are authorized friends who can open the system. When they press a button, the grades will be visible from e-government. We had said this: We are waiting for the Council of State's decision. According to this decision, we will make appointments with either 50% or 100%. However, a friend from the previous Information Processing Department accidentally pressed a button. We have opened an investigation regarding whether it was good intention or negligence," he said. WHAT HAD HAPPENED?Out of 60,000 teachers who passed the KPSS and participated in the interviews, only 20,000 will be appointed. However, the interview results had not been announced until yesterday. Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin justified the non-announcement of the results by stating that they were waiting for the Council of State's decision regarding the application for the cancellation of the interview. Yesterday, thousands of contracted teacher candidates who logged into the e-government system saw that the interview results had been announced. Many candidates who took screenshots also shared their results from the interview on their social media accounts. However, the results were removed about half an hour later.
