Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu visited İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu at the Party Headquarters. The closed-door meeting lasted approximately 45 minutes. After the meeting, Kılıçdaroğlu and Dervişoğlu made statements to the press. Kılıçdaroğlu stated, "After he was elected president, I wanted to congratulate him. It was destined for today. We discussed Turkey's problems, the world's problems, and the issues in our region with the esteemed Chairman. We addressed the difficulties in the economy, unemployment, migration, refugees, and the complex structures in the Middle East during our brief conversation, and exchanged views with each other."

"WE DID NOT TALK ABOUT THE PAST"

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu expressed his pleasure in meeting with personalities who have left a mark on Turkish politics, stating, "We exchanged views on the issues Turkey is facing. We certainly had an evaluation regarding the problems facing Turkish political life. While expressing my personal views, I pointed out that politics is now conducted through individuals rather than institutions, and that the unique institutional identities of political parties are being set aside in favor of building politics through individuals. I believe the esteemed Chairman shares my thoughts. Let me say this; we did not talk about anything related to yesterday, we only discussed tomorrow. Based on the idea that 'Yesterday is in the past, my dear, we need to say new things,' I expressed that I will continue my journey of serving our country with the responsibility of a political party chairman. There is nothing in our meeting that can be used for speculation. People who do politics for their country also have to make decisions at times to stay away from speculation.
