The incident occurred yesterday around 5:00 PM on Çaykara Street in the Yakutiye district. The woman, who entered the store owned by Mustafa Zeki Çat, noticed that there was no one inside except for the owner's 8-year-old daughter, so she placed a bag from the shelf among her shopping bags and calmly walked out. After a while, Çat, who returned to the store, reviewed the security camera footage upon his daughter's explanation of the situation. The footage showed a woman taking the bag from the shelf and leaving.
Mustafa Zeki Çat explained that when the woman entered the store, his staff were in the warehouse, saying, "The selling price of the bag is 400 TL, we are not upset about that, but it deeply saddened us that this act was carried out while looking into the eyes of our 8-year-old daughter. If she was willing to disgrace herself for 400 lira, I have no words left for that woman."
Store owner Mustafa Zeki Çat stated that he would go to the police station with the camera footage to file a complaint against the woman.
