TRAPPED IN GARBAGE TRUCK
The incident occurred at 65150 Street, Karaduvar Neighborhood, Akdeniz district. According to information obtained, a worker named L.Ç. entered the hydraulic compactor section of the garbage truck without being noticed. At that moment, when a colleague activated the system, the worker became trapped in the hydraulic section of the vehicle.
RESCUED WITH DIFFICULTY
Upon notification, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire brigade teams arriving at the area began efforts to free the trapped worker. After a meticulously carried out rescue operation, the injured worker was removed from the trapped location and placed on a stretcher, then handed over to the medical teams.
BONE FRACTURES IN THE BODY
The injured worker, who received first aid at the scene, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was learned that the worker suffered serious bone fractures and crush injuries, especially in the kneecap area and upper parts of the body. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
