The United States, which launched an attack on Iran alongside Israel, found a solution to counter Tehran's drone retaliations by seeking help from Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the U.S. requested support from Kiev to combat the "Shahed" type drones launched by Iran and that he instructed for the necessary work to be initiated.
The US, which launched an attack on Iran together with Israel, found a solution in seeking help from Ukraine in response to Tehran's retaliations carried out with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
THE US SEEKS REFUGE IN UKRAINE AGAINST IRANIAN UAVS
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the US requested support from Kiev to combat the "Shahed" type UAVs launched by Iran.
In a written statement on his social media account, Zelensky conveyed that he had instructed the necessary work to be initiated, stating, "I have ordered the provision of necessary resources and the presence of Ukrainian experts who can guarantee appropriate security. Ukraine supports its partners who assist in our security and protect the lives of our people."
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continued between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel. In the US-Israel attacks, many high-ranking officials, including Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were killed. Iranian Health Ministry Spokesperson Hossein Kermanpur announced that 926 people lost their lives in the US-Israel attacks.
