The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı district of Balıkesir at 11:58 AM.
The depth of the earthquake was measured at 7.14 kilometers.

Around 1600 independent units in the region suffered moderate to severe damage. Following the series of earthquakes, Sındırgı was declared a disaster area.
