According to a report by Gamze Şimşek from Ekol TV; Gözde Yılmaz, who was sitting in front of an entertainment venue located in the Caferağa neighborhood of Kadıköy, was attacked by a woman. A woman who approached Yılmaz poured the flammable substance over the unfortunate woman's head.
"ARE YOU WITH MY BOYFRIEND?" SHE SAID, THEN STRUCK THE LIGHTER
According to witnesses, the attacker shouted, "Are you with my boyfriend?" and then struck the lighter, leaving the young woman engulfed in flames. After the attack, the woman, who walked away from the scene as if nothing had happened, disappeared before the eyes of those around.
FRIENDS TRIED TO PUT OUT THE FIRE
Friends were the first to intervene as Yılmaz suddenly turned into a fireball. The people at the table tried to extinguish the young woman in a state of great panic. Yılmaz, who was taken to the hospital by the medical teams called to the scene, suffered third-degree burns on her body. It was learned that her condition remains serious and she is being kept in intensive care.
WITNESS: EVERYTHING HAPPENED IN AN INSTANT
One of the witnesses, Mehmet Bedirhan Uçak, described the events as follows:
"Everyone at the table was shocked. An unknown woman came and poured the flammable substance over our friend. Six of us tried to put it out at once, but it wasn't easy. Our friend's body was almost completely burned. She is still in the hospital, suffering a lot."
THE ATTACKER WAS CAUGHT IN A SHORT TIME
The suspect woman who fled after the incident was caught in a short time as a result of a large-scale operation initiated by the police teams. After her interrogation at the police station, the attacker was sent to court and was arrested by the court and sent to prison. Police sources evaluate that the incident was committed due to jealousy.
