In Mersin, 56-year-old Türkan Söylemez and her 26-year-old daughter Aygül Çınar were shot in the head and killed at their home. Ö.Ç., Ayşegül Çınar's brother-in-law, is being sought as a suspect in connection with the horrific murders.
Residents of the Gündoğdu neighborhood in the Mediterranean district of Mersin reported gunshots coming from a house during the night to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
MOTHER AND DAUGHTER LOST THEIR LIVES
Health teams arriving at the house found 56-year-old Türkan Söylemez and her 26-year-old daughter Aygül Çınar in a pool of blood. The health team's examination determined that Türkan Söylemez, who had been shot in the head, was dead. Aygül Çınar, Türkan Söylemez's married daughter who was injured, was taken to Mersin City Hospital. Despite all interventions, Çınar could not be saved.
THEY WERE BURIED
The bodies of Türkan Söylemez and Aygül Çınar were handed over to their relatives after the autopsy procedures and were buried in Akbelen City Cemetery.
POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR THE BROTHER-IN-LAW WHO FLED THE HOUSE
While an investigation has been launched regarding the incident, Aygül Çınar's brother-in-law Ö.Ç., who is reported to have fled the house, is being sought.
