A warning has come from AKOM that will further annoy Istanbul residents who are already fed up with the hot weather. It has been noted that a heatwave is expected between July 5-9. It was emphasized that especially elderly people, children, pregnant women, and individuals with chronic conditions such as asthma and heart failure should avoid direct exposure to the sun.
The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Disaster Affairs Directorate (AKOM) has issued a warning that will further annoy citizens who are already troubled by the hot weather.
TEMPERATURES WILL RISE AGAIN
In a statement from AKOM, it was noted that temperatures in Istanbul, which experienced seasonal norms last week due to the effect of the northeast wind, will rise again starting tomorrow.
PARTICULARLY THESE PEOPLE SHOULD BE CAREFUL
The statement indicated that due to the increase in humidity, sleep comfort may decrease, especially during the night hours, emphasizing pregnant women and citizens with chronic illnesses such as asthma and heart failure.
In AKOM's statement, it was stated, "Between July 5-9, during the hours when the sun's rays are vertical, from 11:00 to 16:00, elderly people, children, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses such as asthma and heart failure should not stay directly under the sun."
