MINISTER YUMAKLI ANNOUNCED THE LATEST SITUATION
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı shared the latest situation regarding the fires. In a statement made on his social media account, Minister Yumaklı said the following: "So far today, we have fought against 10 major forest fires. As a result of the heroic struggle of our heroes against the flames: control has been achieved in the fires in İzmir / Buca, İzmir / Ödemiş, Bursa / Yenişehir, Eskişehir / Seyitgazi, Balıkesir / Savaştepe, Kahramanmaraş / Andırın, and Çanakkale / Çan," he said.
AIR AND GROUND INTERVENTION CONTINUES
In the continuation of his statement, Yumaklı used the following expressions: "Muğla / Milas, Manisa / Saruhanlı has been largely brought under control. Efforts are ongoing to completely bring it under control."
Our teams made the first intervention at 16:30 to the fire that broke out in Hatay / Dörtyol at 16:19. This fire was intervened with 2 planes, 8 helicopters, and ground units. Our intense struggle will continue throughout the night to bring it under control from the ground.
