Details have emerged regarding the dismembered body found at the home of the police officer who committed suicide in Fatih. It has been determined that the body belongs to Hüseyin G., a father of three who had recently divorced his wife. Additionally, it has been learned that police officer Semih G. had asked the neighborhood grocer for a black garbage bag a few days prior.

Concerned about police officer Semih G.'s failure to show up for his night shift and unable to reach him by phone, his colleagues arrived at his home on Kariye İmarethanesi Street in Ayvansaray neighborhood around 7:00 PM. When the police officers rang the doorbell but received no response from Semih G., they called a locksmith to gain entry.

During the search of the house, the body of police officer Semih G. was found in the living room. It was suggested that the police officer had committed suicide with his service weapon, and an investigation was launched regarding the incident.

HUMAN BODY PARTS FOUND IN 5 BAGS IN A SUITCASE

Police teams conducting an examination in the house found a total of 10 severed fingers belonging to a male, along with a cut nose, sexual organ, and pieces of skin from the face and head in a black garbage bag next to the trash can in the kitchen. Additionally, in a suitcase found under the bed in the bedroom, limbs and torso parts wrapped in black garbage bags and taped were discovered. It was reported that the skull of the body was missing, and the found parts were placed in an evidence bag. After the work done in the house, the body parts found with police officer Semih G. were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute's morgue after the examination by the public prosecutor.

IDENTITY OF THE DISMEMBERED BODY DETERMINED BY FINGERPRINT

It was learned that the identity of the person whose limbs were found in bags in the house was determined through fingerprints. It was revealed that the dismembered body belonged to Hüseyin G., a father of three who divorced his wife three years ago. Hüseyin G. was reported to have made a living as a waiter, married F.A. (26) in 2016, and had three children, two of whom are boys, from this marriage, which ended in divorce in 2022. It was reported that Hüseyin G. had three criminal records for intentional injury, threats, and violation of obligations arising from family law, and his identity was confirmed through the collected fingerprints.

ASKED THE NEIGHBORHOOD GROCER FOR A BLACK GARBAGE BAG

As part of the investigation, police officers consulted the statement of Semih G.'s neighbor, A.K. (51). A.K. stated that he heard gagging sounds from the building around 7:30 AM the day before the incident and that his daughter heard a gunshot around 2:30 AM. Additionally, it was reported that Semih had asked the neighborhood grocer for a black garbage bag a few days prior.

STARTED DUTY IN 2017

It was reported that Semih G., who allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself, started his duty in the Fatih Patrol Teams in 2017, was assigned to the Fatih Crime Scene Investigation Group in 2018, and had been serving at the Fener Greek Patriarchate under the Fatih Protection Bureau since 2023. It was learned that Semih G., who was reported to be single, lived alone at his address, and that his mother had passed away, while his father and six siblings resided in Erzurum.
