CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk made a statement regarding the forest fires that occurred in the Harmancık district of Bursa. Öztürk noted that they received information that a pickup truck had poured gasoline and ignited the fire at the location where it started, saying, "We intervened in the fire there, and the teams extinguished it. But there was also the smell of gasoline."
CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk stated that the information they received was that a pickup truck with license plate 03 set fire to the area by pouring gasoline in the Harmancık district of Bursa, where the forest fire is ongoing. "The teams intervened and extinguished the fire. But there was also the smell of gasoline," he said.
While the forest fire that started in the Gürsu and Kestel districts of Bursa continued on its second day, it was reported that new fires had also broken out.

A striking claim came from CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk, who was in the fire zone. Öztürk also stated, "We have made the necessary warnings to the gendarmerie and the police. Unfortunately, the fires that started in many places bring bad thoughts to our minds.
