ÖZTÜRK FROM CHP: THERE WAS A SMELL OF GASOLINE

A striking claim came from CHP Bursa Deputy Hasan Öztürk, who was in the fire zone. Öztürk said, "We received a report of the fire starting in an area with dense pine trees that would affect 6-7 villages unrelated to this place, at Kışmanlar Junction, covering 8-10 trees all at once." He added, "We intervened quickly. But the information we received was that a pickup truck with license plate 03 set fire to the area by pouring gasoline. The teams intervened and extinguished the fire. But there was also the smell of gasoline."

"WE ARE MONITORING CLOSELY"

Öztürk also stated, "We have made the necessary warnings to the gendarmerie and the police. Unfortunately, the fires that started in many places bring bad thoughts to our minds. The statements of the eyewitnesses there seemed to confirm this. We will provide information on this matter. We are monitoring closely."
