President Erdoğan met with French President Macron at the United Nations Headquarters. Before the meeting, they shared some pleasant moments. President Erdoğan asked Macron, "How are you?" After Macron replied, "I'm fine," Erdoğan responded, "That's good to hear; it seems there are times when you are well."
80. The President Erdoğan, who is in the USA for the United Nations General Assembly, met with French President Macron.
In the meeting, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, MIT President İbrahim Kalın, and French Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot were also present.

It was reported that the meeting addressed bilateral relations between Turkey and France, as well as regional and global issues. President Erdoğan stated that dialogue with France is important for Turkey and emphasized that they will continue to strive to enhance cooperation in many areas, especially in trade, energy, and defense industry.
Congratulating Macron for France's decisions to recognize Palestine as a state, Erdoğan highlighted that increasing international pressure on the Netanyahu administration for a two-state solution could yield results, and that maintaining communication between Turkey and France on this path is important.
