WHO IS FERUDUN YILMAZ?
The identity of Ferudun Yılmaz, who was appointed as the Chairman of the TRT Board of Directors by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has become a topic of curiosity.
Ferudun Yılmaz was born in Bulgaria in 1969. After graduating from the English Department of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Marmara University, he completed his Master's and Doctorate at Uludağ University. He received the title of professor in 2009.
He was then appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Uludağ University in 2015.
According to the decree published in the Official Gazette on June 6, 2023, the new rector of Bursa Uludağ University is Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz.
Yılmaz works in the fields of philosophy, philosophy of economics, political economy, economic methodology, and history of economic thought. He has published articles in journals such as the Journal of Economic Issues, ODTÜ Development Journal, Society and Science, and East West, and he has a book titled "A Discussion on Rationality in Economics" (Paradigma, 2009).
