It has emerged that American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who is associated with allegations of sexual abuse and human trafficking, presented himself as a "financial intermediary" and "financial confidant" to Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2016. Leaked messages reveal that Epstein requested direct access to the highest decision-making mechanisms of Saudi Arabia.
BUSINESSWOMAN AZIZA EL AHMADI ACTED AS AN INTERMEDIARY
According to the leaked correspondence, Epstein indicates that Emirati businesswoman Aziza El Ahmadi acted as an intermediary in the transmission of the messages. In the messages sent to the Prince, Epstein clearly expresses his desire to take on an official and strategic role within the Saudi palace.
"MY PROPOSAL IS TO BE A FINANCIAL CONFIDANT"
In his messages, Epstein positions himself outside of politics and intelligence, using the following expressions: "My proposal is to be the 'Financial Confidant' of the Prince, the palace, or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I would be pleased to be one of the names that contribute the most to the financial structuring of the Vision. I am neither a politician, nor a soldier, nor a spy. I would be happy to represent the interests of the Kingdom."
REQUESTED FULL CONTROL FOR VISION 2030 PROJECT
Epstein's target particularly includes the Vision 2030 project. In the messages, Epstein states that he wants full control over all financial components of the project and requests direct evaluations regarding ministers and advisors.
"YOU NEED A FINANCIAL ARCHITECT"
Epstein's words, "I need to personally review all financial components, ministers, and advisors. The Vision absolutely needs a financial architect; otherwise, it will resemble a Bedouin village instead of a beautiful palace," draw attention.
"WHAT MATTERS IS NOT WHERE MY BODY IS"
Epstein also requests direct and regular access to the Crown Prince. Asking for a 30-minute one-on-one meeting or Skype call every two weeks, Epstein emphasizes that his physical location is insignificant, stating, "What matters is not where my body is, but my ideas."
DID NOT REQUEST ANY FEE
Even more striking is that Epstein did not request any fee for the first year. In the messages, he states that he only wants direct expenses such as travel to be covered, and at the end of the first year, he leaves the decision regarding fees entirely to the Prince.
PHOTOS ALSO EMERGED
The leaked files also show a photograph of Jeffrey Epstein with Mohammed bin Salman. The documents once again reveal the extent of Epstein's efforts to establish access to international power centers, while the emerging correspondence has ignited a new debate on a global scale.
