In Kayseri, the building caretaker Bektaş Aşçıpınar was repeatedly stabbed to death by resident Battal U. in front of his wife. In the incident captured by security cameras, although Aşçıpınar's wife tried to intervene in the attack, the unfortunate man lost his life in the hospital.
Security camera footage has emerged showing the moments when Battal U. (52) stabbed and killed Bektaş Aşçıpınar, the caretaker of the building he lived in, multiple times. After the incident, Battal U. (38) was taken into custody and was referred to the courthouse following his procedures at the police station.
The incident occurred yesterday around 1:30 PM in a 15-story building on Uçar Street in the Mevlana neighborhood of the Talas district. A dispute broke out between Battal U. and Bektaş Aşçıpınar, the caretaker of the building, for an unknown reason. The argument quickly escalated into a knife fight. During the fight, Battal U. stabbed the building caretaker Aşçıpınar in the abdomen, seriously injuring him. Upon the notification of the surrounding people, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
NOT SAVED
Bektaş Aşçıpınar was taken to Erciyes University Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulance. The suspect, who fled the scene, was caught shortly after in the Anayurt neighborhood. Despite all the medical interventions, Aşçıpınar could not be saved. His body was sent to Sivas after the autopsy procedures. Battal U. was also referred to the courthouse today following his procedures at the police station.

Meanwhile, security camera footage has emerged showing the moments when Battal U. repeatedly stabbed Aşçıpınar. In the footage, Bektaş Aşçıpınar is seen waiting for the elevator with his neighbors, and Battal U. is seen attacking Aşçıpınar as he exits the elevator. The footage also shows Battal U. stabbing Bektaş Aşçıpınar multiple times, while Aşçıpınar tries to escape into the house. It was also captured on camera that Bektaş Aşçıpınar's wife attempted to intervene in the incident.
