A 12-year-old child was found stabbed to death in five places at the passage where he worked in the Anamur district of Mersin. One person has been detained in connection with the horrific incident.
A 24-year-old named N.U., who works as a head chef at a döner shop located in the Osman Sinanoğlu passage on Atatürk Boulevard in Anamur district of Mersin, started joking with 12-year-old Eyüp Can G., who works at the same place, saying that he was slow while serving.
FOUND ON THE GROUND FLOOR
Then, N.U. jokingly chased the little boy, following Eyüp Can to the street of the passage. At that moment, the child disappeared from sight. After the incident, as Eyüp Can did not return to the workplace, the employees began to search for the child. The employees who entered the passage found Eyüp Can lying motionless on the ground floor. The situation was immediately reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
STABBED IN 5 PLACES
Health teams who arrived at the scene determined that the little boy had lost his life. Investigations revealed that Eyüp Can G. had five stab wounds in various parts of his body.
WORK COLLEAGUE IN CUSTODY
Following the incident, police teams initiated an investigation coordinated by the Anamur Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and detained N.U. He was sent to the Anamur Courthouse. It was reported that the investigation into the murder is being conducted meticulously.
