In Çatalca, Istanbul, while efforts to capture Mehmet Şerif Tanrıkulu, who is identified as the person who stabbed and killed 27-year-old Sinem Çeşim seven months ago, are ongoing, it has been determined that the villa where the murder took place was an illegal structure, and it has been demolished. The demolition work was captured in aerial footage.

SINEM WAS STABBED AND FLED
The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 9, around 2:00 PM at a villa located in Binkılıç. According to the information obtained, when Sinem Çeşim told her boyfriend Mehmet Şerif Tanrıkulu that she wanted to break up, a dispute broke out between them. Following this, the suspect Tanrıkulu stabbed Çeşim. Upon receiving reports from witnesses, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area, while the knife-wielding assailant fled the scene. Sinem Çeşim was taken to the hospital by ambulance and placed in intensive care, but she lost her life. Çeşim's funeral was held at the Yakacık Pir Sultan Cemevi and she was laid to rest at the Pendik Yeni Şeyhli Cemetery.
A TOTAL OF 4 VILLAS, INCLUDING THE VILLA WHERE THE MURDER OCCURRED, WERE DEMOLISHED
After it was determined that the villa where the murder took place was illegal, municipal teams began work. Following inspections of the villa, a demolition decision was made. Yesterday, around 10:30 AM, teams accompanied by gendarmerie and municipal police carried out the demolition. Additionally, three more villas located next to the villa where the murder occurred, which were also found to be illegal, were demolished.
SEARCH OPERATIONS FOR THE SUSPECT CONTINUE
After the incident, moments of the suspect fleeing the villa were captured on security cameras, and efforts were initiated to capture him. The Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) affiliated with the Çatalca Gendarmerie Command has been working for 7 months to apprehend the murder suspect Mehmet Şerif Tanrıkulu, who fled after the crime.
