After the heavy downpour that affected Adana, footage recorded in the parking lot of Adana City Hospital became a hot topic on social media. In the parking lot of the hospital, water gushed out from the walls as if a dam gate had been opened, quickly turning the lower levels of the facility into a lake. Vehicles in the parking lot struggled to navigate through the rising water.
The heavy rainfall affecting Adana has negatively impacted life throughout the city, while a striking scene came from the City Hospital. After the heavy rain, the hospital's parking lot was flooded.
In the footage, water is seen pouring in with an intensity reminiscent of a waterfall from the junction points of the parking lot's ceiling and walls. With the intensity of the rain, a large portion of the parking lot quickly filled with water.
VEHICLES STRUGGLED TO MOVE IN THE WATER
It was captured on camera that the vehicles inside the parking lot struggled to move due to the rising water level, passing through puddles that reached the height of their wheels.
It is still unknown to what extent the numerous vehicles parked in the parking lot and the hospital's infrastructure were affected by this flooding.
WALKING BECAME IMPOSSIBLE
In the footage taken by citizens, it is noticeable that the water on the parking lot floor is rising every minute, making it difficult for pedestrians to move safely.
While the heavy rainfall is expected to continue to affect the region, it is anticipated that authorities will begin water drainage operations and investigations into possible damages.
