MALE BODY FOUND IN IRRIGATION CANAL
Last night, citizens in the Karşıyaka neighborhood noticed a person lying motionless in the irrigation canal belonging to the State Water Works (DSI) and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notification, underwater search and rescue teams arrived at the scene and retrieved the male body, estimated to be in his 50s and without identification, from the water. The body, believed to have been in the water for a long time, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy and identification after the scene investigation.
FEMALE BODY ONE DAY LATER IN THE SAME PLACE
In the same area, this morning, citizens who noticed a person in the irrigation canal reported the situation to the authorities. Diver teams who arrived at the scene following the notification discovered the lifeless body of an 18-year-old woman in the water. After the scene investigation, the body, which did not have identification, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures.
The police are continuing the investigation into both incidents.
