On March 31, ten individuals elected as mayors from different parties joined the AK Party. Among the names to whom President Erdoğan personally presented badges during the group meeting was Hamit Tutuş, the mayor of Hasankeyf, who resigned from the CHP.
Recently, Hamit Tutuş, the Mayor of Hasankeyf who resigned from the CHP, joined the AK Party at today's group meeting. Tutuş's membership badge was presented by President Erdoğan.
9 MORE MAYORS JOINED THE AK PARTY
Along with Tutuş, 9 mayors also joined the AK Party. The other mayors who joined the AK Party are as follows;
- Haydar Sert – Adıyaman, Besni, Suvarlı (DEVA Party)
- Ayhan Çavuş – Çankırı, Orta, Yaylakent (New Welfare Party - YRP)
- Ebubekir Irmak – Elazığ, Sivrice (YRP)
- Bayram Öztürk – Elazığ, Palu, Beyhan (Independent)
- Adem Gümüş – Erzincan, Tercan, Kargın (YRP)
- Cumali Öztürk – Kütahya, Gediz, Yenikent (Good Party - Resigned)
- Murat Daban – Manisa, Selendi (YRP)
- Mehmet Sıddık Salur – Muş, Merkez, Karaağaç (YRP)
- Alihan Babat: Şırnak, Uludere, Şenoba (YRP - Resigned)
TUTUŞ ANNOUNCED HIS RESIGNATION FROM HIS PARTY
Hamit Tutuş, who was elected mayor from the CHP list in the local elections in Hasankeyf, Batman, recently announced that he had resigned from his party. Tutuş stated his resignation as follows: "I resigned from the CHP upon seeing the necessity. I am a politician with AK Party roots. 16 years ago, I was a candidate for the AK Party Provincial General Assembly membership in Bursa. I had participated in the election from the CHP. I sent my resignation letter to the relevant bodies, especially the Headquarters, stating that I resigned from the CHP. For now, I will remain independent. I will make my decision in the coming days."
