12 people detained in connection with the abduction of Erhan Karaal, Deputy General Manager of İBB Kültür AŞ, were referred to the courthouse after their police procedures.
Deputy General Manager of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Culture AŞ, Erhan Karaal, was abducted in an investigation where 12 detained individuals were referred to the courthouse.
The Deputy General Manager of IBB Culture A.Ş., Erhan Karaal, was forcibly put into a vehicle and abducted by unidentified individuals near his home in the Maltepe district of Istanbul on June 17.
ALLEGEDLY ABDUCTED FOR RANSOM
Following the incident, a comprehensive investigation was launched by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the operations related to the incident, where Karaal was allegedly abducted for ransom, a total of 12 people, including 2 women, were detained. In the investigation, where it was claimed that the license plate of the vehicle used in the incident was copied, the 12 individuals allegedly connected to the hostage-taking of Karaal, who was found at a construction site in Tuzla, were brought to the Istanbul Police Department Public Order Branch Robbery Bureau for questioning.
BEATEN KARAAL'S HOSPITAL TREATMENT CONTINUES
While Karaal, who was reportedly beaten, continues his treatment at the hospital, the 12 detainees were referred to the Anatolian Courthouse after the completion of their processing at the police station.
