In Ambarlı Port, 127 kilograms of cocaine were seized in bags of flour in two containers that appeared to be in transit from Ecuador to Bulgaria. No suspects have been identified in Turkey regarding the drug, which has been valued at 14 billion lira.
It was determined that two containers arriving from Ecuador to Bulgaria in transit arrived at Ambarlı Port on January 25, as part of the efforts to combat international drug trafficking coordinated by the Istanbul Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate.
FOUND IN FISH MEAL SACK
In this context, teams sent 40 tons of flour in 1,600 sacks, 800 of which were fish meal, weighing 25 kilograms each, from the two containers for criminal examination on January 30. As a result of the criminal examination, it was determined that 127 kilograms of cocaine had been impregnated into 3 tons 344 kilograms of fish meal. The drug was seized by the decision of the Büyükçekmece 2nd Criminal Court of Peace.
NO SUSPECTS, VALUE 14 BILLION TL
No suspects were identified in Turkey regarding the drug that was to be transited. Efforts to identify the perpetrators in Ecuador and Bulgaria are ongoing. The value of the seized cocaine was determined to be 14 billion lira.
