Ufuk Özkan described the surprise he felt when he learned that Mahir, whom he supported in his education in 2014, was involved in the organ transplant process 12 years later. Özkan expressed his feelings in an Instagram or social media post as follows:
"Around 2013, we made a good deed. Mahir was still a student. Time passed... The world is very small. You shouldn't do good just to find good in return. 12 years passed, and then you see that child becoming the director of organ transplants, for example. We bought shoes back then, we did some things. Some things just aren't told."
