Sixteen-year-old Zeynep Su Acar, who wanted to return home on her friend's motorcycle in Adana, lost her life after the overturned vehicle crashed into a bridge support. The accident was captured by a security camera.
Zeynep Su Acar (16), who was on a motorcycle that overturned and hit the pillar of the metro bridge in Adana, lost her life, while Ercan Aydın (18) was seriously injured.
DRAGGED FOR METERS AND HIT THE PILLAR OF THE BRIDGE
The accident occurred yesterday around 8:00 PM in the Akıncılar neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. Sixteen-year-old Zeynep Su Acar, who worked at a café in a shopping mall, set out to go home on the motorcycle driven by her 18-year-old friend Ercan Aydın. While they were on the road, Aydın lost control of the motorcycle, which overturned. The motorcycle, dragged for meters, hit the pillar of the metro bridge.

Upon the notification of those nearby, health and police teams were dispatched to the accident site. Injured Aydın and Acar were taken to Adana City Training and Research Hospital by ambulance after their first interventions. Despite all the interventions, Zeynep Su Acar, one of the injured, could not be saved. After her autopsy at the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution, Acar's body was taken by her relatives and buried in the Kürkçüler Cemetery. It was reported that Ercan Aydın, whose treatment continued in the hospital, was still in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the security camera footage of the accident has emerged. In the footage, it was seen that the motorcycle driven by Aydın lost control after hitting a stone on the median, and Zeynep Su Acar, who was sitting behind, was thrown off and hit the pillar of the metro bridge.
