Reporters Without Borders says photojournalists killed while following tension between Palestine, Israel.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) said Saturday that two Palestinian photojournalists were killed near Gaza.

The Paris-based group said the photojournalists were killed while covering the attack on Israel by the Kassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and Israel's response.

It condemned the killings and urged the parties to protect reporters.

Hamas launched Operation Al Aqsa Flood on Saturday and said the surprise attack was in response to the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence.

It said it fired rockets and captured many Israelis.

Hundreds of Israeli settlers forced their way into the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque complex during the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.

In response to the attack by Hamas, the Israeli army initiated Operation Swords of Iron against the Palestinian group in the Gaza Strip.

At least 232 Palestinians have been killed in the attacks, according to medical sources in Gaza, while the Israeli death toll climbed to 300. -
