In Şile, Istanbul, the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry has quarantined 21 neighborhoods due to foot-and-mouth disease. The neighborhoods identified as a result of the inspections will be monitored as part of health measures.
A panic over foot-and-mouth disease is occurring in Şile district of Istanbul. A total of 21 neighborhoods have been quarantined for protection and surveillance purposes.
NEIGHBORHOODS COUNTED ONE BY ONE
In a statement from the Şile District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, it was stated, "As a result of the inspections, foot-and-mouth disease has been detected in our district, and quarantine measures have been implemented for 21 neighborhoods as protection and surveillance areas. The neighborhoods designated as protection areas are Tekke, Yazımanayır, and Yaylalı, while the neighborhoods designated as surveillance areas are Darlık, Hasanlı, Ağaçdere, Hacıllı, Çemgilli, Yaka, Değirmençayırı, Osmanköy, Sortullu, Göksu, Karabeyli, Karamandere, İmrendere, Ovacık, Yeniköy, Çayırbaşı, Kabakoz, and Akçakese," the statement said.
