THE BÖCEK FAMILY DIED FROM POISONING
Servet and Çiğdem Böcek, who came to Istanbul for a holiday from Germany about a week ago, along with their children, 6-year-old Kadir and 3-year-old Masal, lost their lives. Ayoub Hamraoui, Reda Fakhri, and Ayoub Hamraoui, who stayed at the same hotel, fell ill and were taken to the hospital. Initially assessed as food poisoning, the incident gained a different dimension with the revelation that the hotel had been fumigated.
4 PEOPLE ARRESTED
After the cafe owner where the Böcek family dined in Ortaköy, the mussel seller, the kokoreç seller, and the Turkish delight seller, 11 suspects, including hotel staff and employees of the fumigation company, were taken into custody. Following their statements to the prosecutor's office, the cafe owner, mussel seller, kokoreç seller, and Turkish delight seller were arrested by the duty magistrate upon request for arrest.
