A 21-year-old man in Konya was stabbed to death by Vahdettin Işık, who lives in the same neighborhood, in front of his wife while on a municipal bus. It was claimed that the fight started over a "side glance" issue, and Işık was captured after fleeing the scene.
A chilling incident occurred around 4:30 PM on the municipal bus that operates passenger transportation within the city on the Konya-Adana highway in the Tatlıcak neighborhood of the Karatay district in Konya.
KILLED IN FRONT OF HIS WIFE ON THE BUS
Vahdettin Işık (33) attacked Kadirhan Öztürk (21), who lived in the same neighborhood and had a dispute with him on the bus. Öztürk, who was stabbed in the abdomen in front of his wife, collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood. Taking advantage of the driver stopping the bus after hearing the commotion, Işık got off the vehicle and fled. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Öztürk, who was taken to Konya City Hospital by ambulance, lost his life today around noon.
FLEEING ATTACKER CAPTURED AND ARRESTED
After the incident, Vahdettin Işık, who fled, was caught by the Homicide Bureau teams of the Public Security Branch in the Tatlıcak neighborhood along with the weapon used in the crime. Işık, who had a police record for 'damaging property' and 'intentional injury,' claimed in his statement that the fight broke out over a 'looking sideways' issue. After his procedures at the police station, Işık was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
