A foreign number in Arnavutköy, Istanbul placed orders from 25 different restaurants in the name of a person staying at a hotel. While couriers delivering the orders to the hotel were left stunned, it was claimed that the incident was carried out due to a past grudge. The restaurant owner said, 'Out of anger, I sat down and ate the pide. And he had ordered the most expensive one with roasted meat and cheese.'
According to information obtained from a hotel in Istanbul's Arnavutköy district, consecutive orders were placed from different restaurants in the name of a person staying at the hotel. The orders, placed through a foreign phone number, were delivered to the hotel by couriers. However, the individual staying at the hotel stated that they did not place the orders.
25 DIFFERENT ORDERS PLACED, A 3-YEAR ENMITY EMERGED
As a large number of orders under the same name arrived at the hotel in a short time, the situation drew attention, and it was learned that orders were placed from approximately 25 different restaurants. According to the allegation, a person with whom the individual had a feud and whose lawsuit had been ongoing for about 3 years, identified the places he visited and harassed him by ordering using this method.
"20 RESTAURANTS ALSO DELIVERED ORDERS TO THE SAME PLACE"
Restaurant owner Savaş Öztürk, speaking about the incident, said, "We prepared the order and sent the courier. The courier called me and said that someone with that name was staying at the hotel but did not place the order. I asked him to bring the orders back. Meanwhile, he told me there were many police officers at the hotel and that about 20 other restaurants, like us, had also delivered orders to the same address. So, I got curious and went to the hotel. Indeed, orders had come from many restaurants."
"HE ALSO ORDERED THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE; I ATE THEM ALL OUT OF ANGER"
Öztürk also highlighted the financial aspect of the order, saying, "We also prepared 10 pides with sautéed meat and cheese. It was an order worth about 5,500 lira. He also ordered the most expensive one. Don't get me wrong, we all know the price of sautéed meat per kilo. I gave two of them to the kid working at the hotel, distributed the rest, and then I came here and angrily ate the last three pides myself. This situation really upset us. We've had similar incidents before, and we don't know what to do."
It has been learned that there were previous complaints and reports regarding the incident, and the investigation continues.
