Esra Muratoğlu, 28, was found strangled to death in the house she lived in with her mother in the Mamak district of Ankara. Orhan K., who is alleged to be her boyfriend, and Muratoğlu's mother, Çilem Y., were taken into custody as suspects in the murder.
In the Mamak district of Ankara, a woman was killed by drowning, and among the suspects, the mother and a person alleged to be the young woman's boyfriend were taken into custody.
ESRA'S MOTHER AND BOYFRIEND IN CUSTODY
The incident occurred in the morning at the home of Esra Murtaoğlu, where she lived with her mother Çilem Y. Esra Murtaoğlu had an argument with her mother Çilem Y. and Orhan K. for an unknown reason. During the argument, she was drowned. Police and medical teams were dispatched upon notification. After an examination of the house with the public prosecutor, Murtaoğlu's body was taken to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy. While her lifeless body was being removed from the house, her aunt fainted. Çilem Y. and Orhan K., who is alleged to be Esra Murtaoğlu's boyfriend, were captured and taken into custody.

Alpay Karagöz, a resident of the apartment where the incident took place, stated that the mother and daughter lived alone in the house, saying, "There were no sounds of any incidents. They were a quiet family. We are very saddened; we honestly did not expect such a thing. We are in shock," he said.

Meanwhile, it was learned that the deceased Esra Muratoğlu had 3 children, and the children are under state protection. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
