A 3-meter-long giant alligator caused panic in front of a 7-Eleven store in Florida. The giant reptile, surrounded by police and alligator hunters who arrived at the scene, struggled to escape their grasp, but the teams managed to capture the alligator at the last moment. Experts indicate that a major disaster could occur if the alligator were to escape.
CAUGHT WITH A ROPE
The teams from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office and alligator hunters quickly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area around the reptile. While experts attempted to control the giant alligator by throwing ropes, it struggled to break free, occasionally rolling violently in an attempt to escape.
NO MEASURES TAKEN TO SECURE ITS MOUTH
Authorities stated that if the alligator managed to escape from the police, "a major disaster would be inevitable." This was because no measures had been taken to prevent the alligator from opening its mouth.
TRANSPORTED TO ITS NATURAL HABITAT
Despite all the struggles, the teams succeeded in loading the alligator onto a truck. The reptile was then safely transported to its natural habitat near Punta Gorda.
This incident occurred just a week after sheriff's teams captured another giant alligator measuring 4.2 meters in a residential area. The Sarasota Sheriff's Office stated on social media, "Another day, another alligator."
