A 30% increase in public transportation fares has been implemented in Bursa. The new tariffs came into effect on February 1, 2025. The full ticket price has been set at 26 TL, while the student ticket price is 6.5 TL. This increase is recorded as the second fare hike following the price update made by Burulaş on August 1, 2024.

According to the new fare structure, the full ticket price has been set at 26 TL, while the student ticket is set at 6.5 TL. This was the second increase following the price update carried out by Burulaş on August 1, 2024.
STATEMENT FROM BURULAŞ
Burulaş officials stated in their announcement regarding the fare increase, "In the last six months, there have been significant increases in many essential expenses that directly affect public transportation costs. Considering the economic fluctuations across the country, it has become necessary to implement a balanced pricing adjustment to protect our citizens' budgets."

The statement also noted, "According to TÜİK, the inflation rate for 2024 has been announced as 44.38%, while ENAG has reported it as 83.40%. Without reflecting all of these increases on ticket prices, adjustments have been made at the lowest possible level. Especially to alleviate the economic burden on students and citizens under social support, we strive to keep public transportation fares in Bursa at a more reasonable level compared to prices across the country."
