The incident took place in the Demirciler neighborhood of the Böcekli town in the Düziçi district of Osmaniye. According to reports, Halil Canlı started an argument with his father, Mehmet Canlı (80), for an unknown reason. As the argument escalated into a fight, Halil Canlı killed his father by attacking him with the axe he had in his hand.
