The file of 16-year-old Osman Aktepe, who went missing in 2012 in Nazilli district of Aydın, has been reopened. Among the 8 suspects detained, his mother and 3 people have been arrested.
In the Nazilli district of Aydın, within the scope of the investigation into the disappearance of 16-year-old Osman Aktepe in 2012, 4 of the 8 suspects detained, including his mother, were arrested. Following Aktepe's failure to be found, the case was initially dismissed, but upon receiving a tip-off, it was reopened approximately 9 months ago, leading to the detention of 8 suspects, among whom Aktepe's mother G.Ç., neighbor S.Ö., and 2 others were arrested.
The other suspects, including the father, uncle, and 2 other individuals, who were apprehended on allegations of the young man's murder, were released under judicial supervision.
INCIDENT
Under the coordination of the Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) within the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command reopened the case 9 months ago, which had been dismissed regarding the disappearance in 2012.
Teams, who placed the family members of Osman Aktepe and individuals considered potentially connected to the incident under technical and physical surveillance, detained 8 suspects, including the young man's mother, father, and uncle, yesterday.
The suspects were referred to Nazilli Courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie.
