In an operation organized across 14 provinces centered in Hatay, 10 suspects were captured who were found to have caused 200 million TL in public damage by preparing fraudulent health reports. Four of the suspects were arrested, while legal proceedings were initiated against 154 individuals who obtained fraudulent health reports.
INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED IN 14 PROVINCES
In an investigation carried out across 14 provinces centered in Hatay under the coordination of the İskenderun Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams determined that 10 individuals caused 200 million TL in public damage by issuing fraudulent health reports. Conducting simultaneous raids on identified addresses, the teams detained 10 suspects, including the leader and members of the organization, who were found to have committed the crimes of 'establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime and being a member of such an organization', 'qualified fraud', 'forgery of official documents', and 'making false statements in the preparation of official documents'.
6 INDIVIDUALS RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
During searches at the suspects' addresses, 6 notebooks, 1 hard drive, 11 health reports issued in the names of others, and 12 mobile phones were seized. The suspects were found to have obtained fraudulent health board reports for the purposes of disability retirement, care allowance, purchasing vehicles with exempted special consumption tax, and receiving social aid. Additionally, legal proceedings were initiated against 154 suspects who obtained fraudulent health reports. After procedures, of the 10 suspects referred to the courthouse, 4 were arrested, while 6 were released under judicial control.
