In the 'Corruption' case against IMM, 68 defendants, including arrested and non-arrested suspects such as Ekrem İmamoğlu who was removed from his duty, will appear before the judge in the 13th week of the trial. In the 52nd hearing to be held today, the defendants' defenses will continue to be heard.
The 'Corruption' investigation against Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested after being removed from his post as Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, was completed and a 3,809-page indictment was prepared on November 11, 2025. In the indictment, Ekrem İmamoğlu, named as the 'Organization leader', is alleged to have committed the crimes of 'Establishing an organization to commit crimes', 'Bribery', 'Laundering of crime proceeds', 'Fraud against public institutions and organizations', 'Recording of personal data', 'Seizing and disseminating personal data', 'Concealing evidence of crimes', 'Obstruction of communication', 'Damaging public property', 'Accepting bribes', 'Publicly disseminating misleading information', 'Extortion', 'Laundering of assets derived from crime', 'Bid rigging', 'Intentional pollution of the environment', 'Violation of the tax procedure law', 'Violation of the forestry law', and 'Violation of the mining law'. İmamoğlu is sought to be sentenced to 828 years and 2 months to 2,352 years in prison for 142 actions.
